This project was a transformation from dark and dated to light and fresh. The kitchen already had good bones with efficient spatial planning, however the finishes and two-tiered island were really bringing down this young family’s vibe. We were able to make some minor tweaks to the millwork layout to provide optimal storage solutions, and maximize prep space and circulation.
Our client loved the look of a white kitchen, but still wanted it to feel warm. For this reason, we played with textural changes with the white finishes to give character and interest, and added in some rift cut white oak accents to carry the warmth through. The finished product is now a true reflection of this family’s style, and something that can grow with them for years to come.
